Biography
Jonghoon Kim is a documentary photographer based in South Korea. Working across Asia, he spends extended time within the communities he photographs — following people whose lives unfold at the edges of place and belonging: migrants, wanderers, those in transit.
His work is unhurried and close. Rather than pursuing the dramatic or the decisive, Kim looks for what accumulates quietly — gestures, light, the texture of an ordinary moment that holds more than it first appears.
